Supervision

I offer two types of supervision: clinical supervision for CBT therapists and academic supervision for researchers in the field of gender-based violence.

I offer clinical supervision to CBT therapists, especially practitioners who work with gendered violence and trauma or those who take an integrative approach to CBT. I supervise in line with BABCP training and requirements and my other modalities include ACT, compassion-based CBT, DBT skills, and EMDR. If you are interested in clinical supervision, please contact me.

I also provide academic supervision for researchers studying gender-based violence and other topics around trauma and abuse. I support MA students, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers.

My combined experience in therapeutic work and research with survivors of sexual and domestic violence makes me uniquely qualified to supervise and support researchers, in terms of ethical considerations and prioritising the wellbeing of participants. It is important for researchers to also be aware of the potential for vicarious traumatisation and the need to take proactive steps – at all stages of research – to protect their wellbeing and mental health.

Again, please contact me for a discussion about any supervisory needs.
